GRAND RAPIDS, MI — A proposed 12,000-seat riverfront amphitheater in Grand Rapids would get $30 million as part of a $76 billion state budget approved by the Legislature early Friday morning.
Richard MacKeigan, regional general manager of ASM Global, the company that manages Van Andel Arena, DeVos Place and DeVos Performance Hall, said public investment, particularly from the state, is “essential” in making the $116 million amphitheater a reality.
