Vortex Business Park’s scheme to build six commercial assets totalling 226,000 sq ft of internal floorspace in Ellesmere Port has been given the green light.
The units, which will vary in size and be used for general industrial and storage and distribution, are earmarked for land off New Bridge Road.
Part of each one will be used as office space on the 11-acre site, which forms part of the Cheshire West and Chester Local Plan.
Members of Cheshire West and Chester’s Council’s planning committee have now backed a recommendation in an officer’s report to approve the project.
The report acknowledged the application for planning permission provided little information about the nature of the end use of the site.
However, it added the “development would be of economic benefit, creating new employment units that can be adapted to the changing needs of the end user”.
