Dollywood purchases 211 Commerce Street tower in Nashville

The Dollywood Co. officials confirmed Friday that the theme park is the new owner of a distinctive 11-story downtown Nashville office tower.

PNH Properties LLC purchased 211 Commerce Street for $75 million on Nov. 30, according to Davidson County property records. Dollywood partnered with Herschend Enterprises on the deal as PNH Properties, officials said.

“Since the pandemic, commercial real estate is becoming an opportunity,” Dolly Parton said, in a written statement. “I strongly believe in the future of Nashville and feel this is a great investment.”

Future plans will “be shared as they materialize,” said Dollywood Vice President of Marketing Pete Owens.

Last year, recruitment firm IQTalent leased the top three floors and Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer opened a restaurant there this year.

The building was last sold in 2020 to Velocis Lincoln Commerce SPE for $50 million. Dallas-based Velocis and its former co-owner Lincoln Property Co. invested $15 million into a renovation of its lobby.
