Half Price Books, Woof Gang Bakery, Main Squeeze Juice ink new locations

Half Price Books leased 6,386 square feet in the Westchase Shopping Center, at 10915 Westheimer. Christi Davis Vinzant of Kimco Realty represented the landlord. Katherine Wildman and Bunny McLeod of Wulfe & Co. represented the tenant.

Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming
opened a new location in Springwoods Village Shopping Center, at 2015 Spring Stuebner Road in the City Place master planned community. New franchisees Amith and Divya Patel will be opening another location in the Woodson’s Reserve community in the summer of 2022. The location represents the neighborhood pet store chain’s 30th location in Texas.

Main Squeeze Juice Co., a New Orleans-based juice and smoothie bar franchise, announced plans to open its first location within the city limits of Houston in the Heights neighborhood. The new location at 1541 N. Shepherd will be owned and operated by husband-and-wife duo Jeff Drost and Tabatha Jones Drost with partners Marc and Sandra Miller. Opening is tentatively planned in January 2023. Main Squeeze has 11 locations in the Houston area.

Houston-based Fifth Corner expanded its Midtown portfolio with the purchase of the Plazas @ Midtown I and II, a 26,956-square-foot retail property at Louisiana and McGowen. The buildings house 14 tenants, including Midtown Dental, On the Kirb, Doghouse Tavern, Lazy Bagel, Tiff’s Treats and Poke Burri. First Horizon Bank provided fixed-rate mortgage financing for the acquisition.

Lankford’s, a longtime family-owned burger restaurant operating as Lankford Grocery & Market at 88 Dennis St. in Montrose, signed a 3,200-square-foot lease in 5200 Bissonnet Center at 5200 Bissonnet in Bellaire. Hannah Tosch and Wade Greene of Colliers represented the tenant. Owners Paul and Jessica Prior plan to grow the restaurant, now called Lankford’s, throughout Houston, with potential locations in the Heights, East End and Fulshear. Emily Durham and Megan Lahti of Waterman Steele represented the landlord, Sion and Michael Saghian, in the Bellaire lease.

Goode Company Restaurants has opened Goode Co. Fish Camp, a new Gulf Coast seafood restaurant inspired by the Goode family’s fish camp on Christmas Bay, at 8865 Six Pines Drive in The Woodlands area. The project team includes Browne McGregor Architects, Alpine Engineering & Construction and foodservice designer Worrell Design Group.

Current Meditation, a studio that provides guided meditation classes and combines elements of ancient and modern practices to create a unique in-person experience, is now open at 5186 Buffalo Speedway in the West University area.

Crust Pizza leased 3,200 square feet at Kingwood Docks, 4625 Kingwood Drive, Kingwood, from Lovett Commercial/Kingwood Retail Partners LP. Brett Strake of NewQuest Properties represented the tenant. Clay Mealy of Lovett Commercial represented the landlord.

Cajun Gun & Gear leased 2,591 square feet at Pin Oak Village, 1251 Pin Oak Road, Katy. Dani Allison and Jim Thompson of Resolut RE represented the landlord. Eric Broussard and Rami Khoury of Resolut RE represented the tenant.

InStyle Fashion Resale leased 1,800 square feet in the Mason Village Shopping Center at 354 S. Mason Road in Katy. Wes Miller and Kristen Barker of Wulfe & Co. represented the landlord.

DeNiel Foot and Ankle leased 4,242 square feet at 15003 FM 529. Zach Leger and Jason Gaines of NAI Partners represented the landlord, Signal Hearthstone. Victor Lofinmakin represented the tenant.

The Howard Hughes Corp. announced the groundbreaking on a 10,800-square-foot facility for the Goddard School, an early childcare education provider for ages six weeks to six years old, at 21722 Tuckerton Road in Bridgeland. Franchise owner Sarah Prause, who also opened the Goddard School of Cypress in 2012, wanted to bring the play-based learning experience to the Bridgeland community.

Nargood Investment leased 1,666 square feet at 15003 FM 529. Andrew Leibman and Jason Gaines of NAI Partners represented the landlord, Signal Hearthstone. Lucy Vega with Exp Realty represented the tenant.
