The former home of Dallas injury lawyer Brian Loncar, the prominent personal-injury lawyer who made a name for himself as the “Strong Arm” in a series of TV ads, is on the market for $8.5 million.
The six-bedroom, 10-bathroom home at 4408 Arcady Ave. in Highland Park hit the market Aug. 23. Susan Shannon of Allie Beth Allman & Associates is the listing agent. An open house is scheduled for Sept. 3.
The French-inspired home was built in 1985, according to the listing. It has more than 9,600 square feet of space on a 0.27-acre lot. Walking in the front door, guests will find a grand curved staircase and a chandelier. Outside are a pool and jacuzzi.
Loncar died in 2016 after an accidental cocaine overdose. His widow, Sue Loncar, is listed as the homeowner with the Dallas Central Appraisal District. They lost their 16-year-old daughter, Grace, to suicide a week earlier.
Dallas Central Appraisal District lists the property’s market value as $7.8 million, with just the land valued at $2.4 million.
Highland Park homes are some of the priciest in the region with a median single-family home price of $3.2 million in July, according to North Texas Real Estate Information Systems and the Texas Real Estate Research Center at Texas A&M University.
