Kebabs, wraps, souvlakis. Food which characterises the Great British night out – of the end of it, at least. Everyone has their own design with a specific sauce and filling.
Sometimes it’s even better to enjoy the jam-packed wrap in the comfort of your own home. Well, this is where Dispatch comes in. The meal box website is famous for delivering some of the country’s most iconic restaurant dishes directly to your door to feast on at home.
Meal boxes include delights from the likes of Tom Kerridge and Michel Roux Jr. Dispatch sells an “Authentic Greek Souvlaki” from Brixton-based restaurant Souvlaki Street. The restaurant launched the UK’s first Souvlaki At Home kit for two through Dispatch, costing £25.
In the meal kit customers have the choice of marinated pork collar souvlaki, a Greek pita with tzatziki, chips, salad or marinated chicken thigh souvlaki with souvlaki sauce and all the trimmings. On Souvlaki Street’s Deliveroo page, the same souvlaki pita wraps sell for £8.75.
Dispatch is the site where you can buy Tom Kerridge’s Spiced Shepherd’s Pie for a whopping £79 . This meal is a twist on the British classic, featuring a curried, slow-braised lamb shank pie. His full menu includes Truffled Tunworth gougères, Potted shrimp, grilled sourdough and dill cucumber pickle, Shepherd’s pie, curried mash, coriander and mink, with hispi cabbage and her dressing, and Date and toffee pudding with Jersey clotted cream.
The chef previously came under fire for releasing a Valentine’s Day meal kit costing a massive £185 . The meal kit came with three courses, including a selection of canapes, salmon gravadlax starter, a main of Beef Wellington, and the same sticky toffee pudding option for dessert. While a fair amount of people praised Tom for his “incredible” food, others winced at the price tag.

“Such a pity you don’t have several options to choose from, and it isn’t half the ridiculous price too.”
