It has been a summer to remember for Stephen Curry. It started with Curry leading his Golden State Warriors to the pinnacle of the NBA mountain once again, winning the 2022 NBA Championship and the Finals MVP. Soon after that, Curry went away to Lake Tahoe for an exclusive celebrity golf tournament where his family and other NBA players like Alex Caruso were there.
After all of this, Steph found the time to conduct a public victory lap as the host of the 2022 ESPYS, where he also won 2 awards. At the event, Steph was openly cracking jokes about LeBron James and the Boston Celtics. He has been untouchable this summer and is reaping financial rewards as well.
Curry is one of the highest-paid NBA players currently, and he seems to have splurged $2.1 million on a vacation home in Orlando, Florida, that isn’t too far away the home arena of the Orlando Magic.
“Originally listed for $400,000 less, the four-bed, three-bath home rests on over a quarter-acre parcel in the tony Winter Park enclave near Orlando and features 4,200 square feet of updated living space. All four bedrooms can be found on the main level, including a main suite which features a fireside sitting area, walk-in closet and luxe bath adorned with a zero-entry shower and soaking tub. An additional ensuite bedroom includes a living area, wet bar, and its own entrance connected to one of the two attached garages.” (h/t Architectural Digest)
Curry already owns a $31 million mansion in Silicon Valley town, Atherton. Atherton is a suburb in San Francisco, California. The Golden State Warriors are San Francisco’s own team and Curry recently revealed he looks to make the city his home even after he is done with basketball.
Florida is known for its wealth of golf courses, so it could be motivated by that. Having a vacation home on the other side of the country is a smart idea when you’re a multi-millionaire like Steph, and this house looks to be one where the Curry family will go infrequently.
