Mark Beretta has snapped up a pricey rental in Mosman after he and his wife Rachel went their separate ways after 22 years of marriage.
The Sunrise star, 57, and his estranged partner pocketed $13million from the sale of their matrimonial home earlier this year.
However, it appears the television presenter isn’t ready to commit his new wealth to a permanent home just yet.
Sitting high on the 11th floor of a 1960s apartment building, Mark will spend his days taking in the gorgeous views of the bay from Curraghbeena Point.
Advertised at $1,375 a week when Mark snapped it up, the owners of the luxury unit were originally asking $1,550.
Meanwhile, Mark’s ex-partner Rachel has also landed herself a snazzy two-bedroom rental in a St Leonards Square building.
However, it seems she didn’t get quite the same deal her famous ex husband did, as she’s paying $1,270 a week which increased from $960 since last year.
The sports presenter and his former partner, who married in 2001, confirmed in a statement they quietly parted ways in recent months.
‘At the start of the year, after a great deal of reflection and 22 years of marriage, Rach and I came to the conclusion that a separation was best for us,’ he told Daily Mail Australia through a Seven spokesperson.
‘We remain good friends, and our two children and grandchild remain our focus and priority as we move forward with love, dignity, and respect.’
The couple, who met in 1999, share two children, daughter Ava, 19, and son Dan, 16.
There were signs of trouble leading up the split, with the pair placing their Mosman home on the market in February.
